I have just started using OrthoK contact lenses and highly recommend them. I have been wearing glasses for short sightedness for approximately 5 years now and, until I visited the eyecare company, I thought there was no other option.
My first consultation was a positive experience. Margaret was very thorough in her examination and carefully explained to me a range of options that had never been presented to me before. I chose to go with OrthoK and will never look back. I hadn't worn contact lenses before and had no idea how to use them but Margaret patiently went through everything with me and made them quite easy to put in and take out.
OrthoK has made everyday activities so much easier. I can now drive, watch movies and go to the gym without worrying about not being able to see. After just 4 nights of wearing the lenses, I could see as well as I could 5 years ago, before I started wearing glasses. Since the first night I wore them, my glasses have not come out of their case!
Anyone who is fed up with glasses should definitely consider OrthoK from the eyecare company. New technologies can be scary but OrthoK works and really makes a huge difference to your life.
I have been using Ortho-K for approximately 5 months now and it has been amazing.
Before starting Ortho-K I wore contact lenses everyday, however, after a couple of years I started having problems with dry eyes. I had to go back to wearing glasses, which reduced my dry eye symptoms, but was inconvenient as I play a lot of sport. I decided to explore laser eye surgery so that I could enjoy life without glasses or dry eyes. Unfortunately, my eye shape did not make me a suitable candidate for this procedure.
I them met the team at The Eye Care Company who introduced me to Ortho-K. With Ortho-K, I wear the lenses at night time and I no longer get dry eyes, and I can play sport and swim without having to worry about my eye site or glasses. Ortho-K has been so successful that I now only need to wear the Ortho-K lenses every second night, which means that if I decided to spend a night away, I don't even need to pack any lenses.
Ortho-K has been a truly life changing experience for me and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Whilst my problem was relatively small it was attended to with charm, grace enthusiasm and expertise by your Julia Kwok. Clearly the place has a "vibe" that would be the envy of any high flying CEO.

I wanted to let you know about some great service that I received from Duana from The Eyecare Company - George St.
I have had glasses for 10 years, and have always been to OPSM Hurstville and George Street. I had discussed I was going to be getting some new glasses and a colleague mentioned the great service of your company, and I decided to visit. I was sceptical that your company could match OPSM, due to their strong brand.
On entering your store, I was greeted by Duana, who was very professional and took the time to understand what I was after. When I had decided to use your company, I queried about having an eye test, and was amazed that Duana was able to conduct the test on the spot. I was also impressed that Duana was able to advise on frames, and also have an Optometry degree, she was a “One Stop Shop”.
Once the consultation had started, I was thoroughly impressed with the detail and the professionalism Duana showed. She listened to my previous optometry experiences, and advised on how to move forward. She was extremely receptive, and I was impressed with her knowledge of a possible glaucoma, and her “bed-side” manner. She offered to take a photograph of my eye, so that we could use this as a reference in the future. I was more than happy to pay the $45.00 fee, this is something OPSM do not offer.
I don’t normally send in letters of compliment, but was really moved this time to let you know. My role involves ensuring my Company delivers premium customer service to our customers, and I would like to utilise this experience as a case study. I will continue to be your customer, and let as many people know.
